WV Fiber Transport

WV Fiber Ethernet enhances the established Ethernet technology and expands it beyond the local area network (LAN), beyond the metro are network (MAN) environment into a wide area network (WAN). This service is designed to keep pace with your company’s shifting needs.

Standard Ethernet (10/100/1000M) handoff from our managed switch (MSS) means there is no need for proprietary equipment. 

The WV Fiber backbone is powered by the latest, most advanced Cisco routers and switches. Because of this, WV Fiber has been granted Cisco Powered Network status. We utilize the latest technologies, configurations and protocols in our routers and switches. Our Core Network devices include Cisco 6500E's and 7600S's and our Edge devices include Cisco 7200VXR’s, 3750’s and 6500E’s.
